  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make puff pastry in a frying pan? Prepare all ingredients. For cooking, use filtered water at room temperature, premium flour, refined vegetable oil, take teaspoons of salt without a slide.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Pour room temperature water into the dough mixing bowl, add salt and pour in vegetable oil. Stir until the salt is completely dissolved.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Sift wheat flour into the bowl to the liquid part through a sieve. Due to sifting, the flour will be filled with oxygen, which will make the dough more tender and soft, and it will also remove unnecessary impurities and garbage cans that may be in this product.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

First start kneading the dough with a wooden spoon, and then, when the dough comes together in one lump, transfer it to a work surface sprinkled with flour, and knead with your hands for about 7 more minutes. If necessary, you can add flour, but do not hammer the dough, otherwise it will turn out very hard and tasteless. The dough should be elastic and not stick to your hands.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Wrap the resulting dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 20 minutes. After the specified time, the dough will become even softer, elastic and pliable in operation.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Peel the onion, rinse under water and cut into half rings. Put half rings of onions in a frying pan, add butter and lightly salt. Stirring the onion with a spatula, lightly fry it for 5-7 minutes until soft. Remove the frying pan with fried onions from the heat and let the filling cool.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Divide the finished dough into 4 equal parts and roll each part into balls. Take the first ball of dough and roll it out into a very thin round cake. Put the cooled onion filling on a flatbread and spread it over the entire surface.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Now twist the round tortilla first into a roll, and then into a snail.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Take a rolling pin and gently walk it on top of the twisted snail, making the tortilla flatter.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Put the first tortilla in a well-heated frying pan and fry it on low heat on both sides in vegetable oil until golden brown. To remove excess oil, blot the cakes with paper napkins. It is impossible to fry tortillas on high heat, since the dough will not be completely baked. While one tortilla is frying, roll out the next ball of dough and do the same procedure as with the first tortilla. And do this with two more blanks.
