Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare all the products. Instead of breadcrumbs, I took stale bread, it's not critical.
Step 2:
Crackers must be pre-soaked. I always do it in water, someone likes it in milk, then it needs to be warmed up a little or diluted with warm water. After the crackers swell, it will be necessary to remove the crusts, without them it will be tastier and more beautiful, and squeeze out excess water. If you take breadcrumbs, then just fill them with a slightly larger volume of liquid, wait for five minutes, if it is not all absorbed, then drain the remains.
Step 3:
Garlic is cleaned and finely chopped or passed through a press.
Step 4:
Put the minced meat in a large bowl, add soaked bread or breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, salt and pepper. Knead the minced meat well.
Step 5:
Sculpt small meatballs.
Step 6:
In the frying pan in which the meatballs will be prepared, heat the oil and fry them, having previously rolled in flour.
Step 7:
Fry the meatballs on both sides for a short time, until golden brown, then remove them from the pan.
Step 8:
Peel the pepper and cut into strips.
Step 9:
In the same pan where the meatballs were fried, put the pepper, fry for a few minutes.
Step 10:
Pour the pepper with tomato sauce.
Step 11:
Return the meatballs to the pan and simmer them under the lid for 30-40 minutes. We try the sauce with salt, add salt if necessary and add your favorite spices. Dinner is ready!
These meatballs are most delicious to cook from freshly cooked minced meat. To do this, the beef must be passed through a meat grinder with a fine grate, then the minced meat will be more lush and tender. Grated hard cheese, pine nuts, chopped greens are often used as additives. You can choose anything for a side dish, but this dish is tastier than all, of course, with pasta.
