Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make noodle nests with minced meat? Prepare the products. My minced meat is homemade chicken / pork, but both purchased and from other meat will do. Tomato sauce I take is also homemade, it can be replaced with tomato paste or ketchup.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

To start, fry the vegetables to add them to the minced meat. Thanks to vegetables, it will become softer and juicier, and will not remain a hard ball in pasta. The minced meat itself can also be pre-fried, and then put on pasta. But I'll only fry the vegetables. Peel and chop vegetables (carrots, onions, garlic) — onion cubes, carrots on a coarse grater, garlic through a press. Fry them until soft in vegetable oil in a frying pan.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

In a deep bowl, mix the minced meat, fried vegetables, add salt and spices to taste. Mix everything well.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Put the dry pasta nests in the pan, you should not put them too close, they will increase in size. Put a ball of minced meat on each nest. If desired, you can leave some of the fried vegetables and put them on top of the minced meat with pasta. But then take a little more of them.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Dilute the sauce with water and fill the nests with minced meat so that the liquid covers them by 2/3. I have homemade tomato sauce with pepper, it is not thick and not saturated, so I added a little water. If you take tomato paste or ketchup, then take more water. Cover the pan with a lid and put it on medium heat. As soon as the liquid boils, turn down the heat and cook the nests for 20 minutes under the lid.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

If the sauce boils before the nests are cooked, then add some hot water to the pan. Ready-made pasta "nests " serve immediately after cooking. Put one or two mugs of pasta with minced meat on each plate, sprinkling them with grated cheese. Enjoy your meal!

My family and I liked such nests with minced meat cooked in a frying pan. The dish turned out to be original in its presentation. The freshly prepared "nests" turned out delicious (I took from durum wheat), the minced meat was juicy, everything together was very harmonious. But when they cool down, even if only a little, the pasta becomes soft, tasteless. Therefore, I do not recommend staying late with dinner.
Exactly the same "nests" can be cooked in the oven. But here you need to remember not to over-dry the pasta, or that there should be a lot of liquid, or bake pre-boiled noodles. And the obligation to generously sprinkle with grated cheese so that an appetizing crust forms in the oven.
