Soft Cookies in a Stovetop Mold
Treat your loved ones to pretty homemade cookies! These soft cookies made in a stovetop mold will win everyone over with their delicate flavor. You can sandwich them in pairs with a thick filling like ganache or dulce de leche — this works if the mold is flat on one side and raised or embossed on the other. One more thing: if you don't have baking powder, you can't just leave it out. Substitute baking soda instead — take half a teaspoon of soda, activate it with a little vinegar, and pour the fizzing foam into the batter.

- Cookies are a favorite treat in every household, and homemade ones are even better! They're baked from all kinds of recipes in all sorts of shapes and sizes. This recipe makes very tasty cookies in a stovetop mold. 1. Melt the butter until liquid — do this over very low heat or in the microwave. Cut it into cubes first so it melts faster. 2. Crack the eggs into a bowl, add a pinch of salt, the sugar, and the vanilla, and stir with a hand whisk or fork. Don't whip it — just mix until smooth. 3. Let the melted butter cool to room temperature, then pour it into the egg mixture. 4. Sift in the flour and baking powder and mix into a dough. It shouldn't be runny, but it shouldn't be stiff either. 5. Set the cookie mold on the burner, grease it with butter, and let it get really hot. If you put the batter into a warm or cold mold, it will stick and the cookies won't come out. 6. Spread the batter onto the greased, well-heated mold and close the other half over it. Cook the cookies for no more than 15–20 seconds per side. 7. The finished cookies release easily from the mold — let them cool. By the way, if your mold allows, you can sandwich the cookies in pairs: spread the flat side with ganache or dulce de leche, which holds the two halves together nicely. Serve the treats with jam, condensed milk, or honey. You can also drizzle them with syrup. Dig in!
