Chicken Liver Pâté in a Slow Cooker
A smooth, tasty liver pâté that's right at home on a holiday table! I usually make this appetizer for special gatherings, but I'll treat the family to it on ordinary days too — sandwiches with this pâté are filling and delicious, great for breakfast or a snack during the day. And thanks to the slow cooker, liver pâté comes together quickly and easily.

- Here's how to make this delicious pâté: 1. Set the slow cooker to preheat on the "Sauté/Fry" setting. 2. Finely chop the onion. 3. Add a little more than half the butter to the hot pot. 4. Sauté the onion in the butter until translucent. 5. After about 3–4 minutes, add the sour cream or cream, stir, and cook for another couple of minutes. 6. Rinse the liver and purée it in a blender. 7. Turn off the sauté function, add the onion to the liver along with the salt and pepper, and blend and stir everything together again. 8. Fill small silicone molds with the blended mixture. 9. Steam in the slow cooker on the appropriate setting for 12 minutes. 10. Divide the remaining butter evenly over the hot pâté in the molds and let it melt as the pâté cools. 11. Once cooled, turn the pâté out of the molds onto a plate. Spread it on sandwiches or enjoy it on its own.
