Patties don't have to be made from meat! Nut patties? Absolutely—and they're delicious! These walnut patties are easy to make at home. Serve them with your favorite sauce, alongside a side dish, or all on their own.

- Peel the onion and garlic. Cut the onion into quarters; you can leave the garlic cloves whole.
- Peel and wash the potatoes, then cut them into small pieces.
- Run the walnuts, potatoes, onion, and garlic through a meat grinder—grind them separately into separate bowls, not all together.
- Squeeze the liquid out of the onion and potatoes; the mixture shouldn't be too wet.
- Combine the potato, onion-garlic, and walnut mixtures in one bowl and stir together.
- Now add the flour, salt, and ground black pepper, and mix thoroughly.
- With damp hands, shape the patties and fry them in hot vegetable oil on both sides until nicely golden.
- Serve hot.
- Enjoy!
