Bake a rabbit in the oven - it's very tasty! Rabbit in the oven is usually stewed with sour cream. It softens the meat and gives a delicious sauce. Sometimes fried onions and carrots are added separately to the dish. I suggest a more gentle and healthy option, in which meat and vegetables are baked in the oven. It is much more useful and easier, besides less burdensome. The rabbit turns out to be simply stunningly delicious, the meat is soft, fragrant in a thick onion-carrot sour cream sauce, which can be served as a side dish. Mix the meat well, tighten the film and leave to marinate in a cool place for an hour or two, depending on how much time you need until the dish is ready. You can leave it in the refrigerator overnight.

    If the rabbit is fat enough - when cutting, we collected internal fat, but there is still enough of it on the back and legs to avoid using oil. If your rabbit is not greasy, then oil the rabbit pieces and the baking sheet. Put the rabbit on a baking sheet and put it in an oven heated to 200 degrees so that the meat "grabs" and packs all the juices.

    Meanwhile, coarsely chop three onions.

    Cut the carrots into cubes or large strips.

    Cut two or three large garlic cloves with petals.

    Pour the rabbit with vegetables with the resulting sauce. Tighten with foil or cover the mold with a lid. Return the dish to the oven, after 20 minutes, reduce its heat to 160 degrees. In total, it took me 100 minutes to bake.

    At the end of cooking, remove the foil, turn over the rabbit pieces and, with the grill or convection turned on, fry the top of the meat.
