Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make potatoes in cream in the oven? The first step is to choose potatoes of approximately the same size. Wash the prepared potatoes well from dirt and clean them with a vegetable peeler. If you take new potatoes, then it is enough to rub them with a stiff brush, since a dense peel has not yet formed on it. Rinse the peeled potatoes in water.
Step 2:
Grease a heat-resistant baking dish on the bottom and sides with vegetable oil. Cut half of the prepared potatoes into slices and put them in a greased form. Add a little salt over the entire surface.
Step 3:
Grate the cheese on a medium grater and sprinkle half of the total mass over the potatoes.
Step 4:
Then, in the same way, cut the remaining potatoes into circles and put it in the mold too. Spread it evenly over the entire surface. Sprinkle the potatoes with a little salt and spices to taste. You don't need to add a lot of spices, as they will interrupt the natural taste of cream.
Step 5:
Pour cream over the potatoes. Try to water the potatoes so that each slice is poured with cream.
Step 6:
Cover the top liberally with grated cheese. Place the form with potatoes in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 40 minutes. During this time, the potatoes will be completely cooked and soaked with cream. And the cheese on top will melt and become golden in color.
Step 7:
Remove the finished potatoes from the oven and let them cool down quite a bit so that the first heat comes out.
Step 8:
Then arrange on plates and serve to the table. Enjoy your meal!
