Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to bake crumpets on kefir in the oven? Measure out the necessary ingredients. They should be at room temperature. Therefore, get kefir, milk and butter in advance. The oil should be soft enough.
Step 2:
Sift the flour through a sieve into a spacious bowl. Thanks to this, the flour will be enriched with oxygen. As a result, the pastry will rise well and turn out lush. Set aside 2-3 tablespoons of flour separately. It may be needed when kneading dough. Mix the remaining flour with baking powder.
Step 3:
In a convenient container, combine soft butter, salt, sugar and vanilla sugar.
Step 4:
Rub everything to a smooth, homogeneous mass.
Step 5:
Pour kefir and milk into the butter mixture.
Step 6:
Mix everything well. Uniformity of the liquid mass is not necessary to achieve. It is enough that the pieces of butter are evenly distributed over the milk mixture.
Step 7:
Pour the flour sifted with baking powder into a bowl. Stir the dough first with a spoon. Then knead the dough with your hands. If it is too sticky, add the previously postponed flour in small portions when kneading, while stirring the dough at the same time.
Step 8:
Flour may need a little more or less than the specified amount. Focus on the consistency of the dough. It should be homogeneous, soft, pliable, almost not sticking to the hands.
Step 9:
Divide the dough into equal parts, roll the buns of the desired size.
Step 10:
Place the formed crumpets on a parchment-lined sheet at a small distance from each other, as they will rise during baking.
Step 11:
Bake the crumpets on kefir in a preheated 180C oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown. The baking mode and duration may be different. Focus on the features of your oven.
Step 12:
Cool the finished crumpets. If desired, sprinkle the pastries with powdered sugar. Enjoy your meal!
