Step 1:
How to make shish kebab from chicken hearts? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Choose chicken hearts larger and with the least amount of fat. Honey needs liquid, unsaccharified. If your honey is candied, then pre-melt it and cool it to room temperature. Tomato paste can be replaced with ketchup.
Step 2:
Thoroughly rinse and dry the chicken hearts.
Step 3:
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, ketchup, honey, vinegar and ground black pepper and mix well until smooth. It is more convenient to do this with a whisk.
Step 4:
Put the chicken hearts in the marinade and let them marinate for about 1 hour at room temperature. If possible, leave to marinate in the refrigerator overnight.
Step 5:
Soak wooden skewers in water for 30-40 minutes. They will swell a little and this will save them from burning.
Step 6:
Thread chicken hearts on skewers. You can string hearts along or across, like mine. With the transverse stringing of hearts on skewers, you will get more.
Step 7:
Place the resulting kebabs on the edges of a baking dish lined with parchment or on a baking sheet. Brush the hearts with the remaining marinade on top. Bake the chicken heart skewers in a preheated 180 ° C oven for about 30 minutes, periodically greasing the hearts with marinade from a bowl. Ready-made hearts can still be held on the grill mode for about 5 minutes. Determine the time and temperature of baking according to your oven.
Step 8:
Put the ready-made kebabs on a dish covered with lettuce leaves and serve to the table. You can prepare a quick tomato sauce for kebabs: grate one tomato on a fine grater and mix with finely chopped cilantro. Enjoy your meal!
Apple cider vinegar can be replaced with balsamic or regular table vinegar 9%.
