Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make an orange cupcake with an orange in the oven? First, prepare the ingredients. Oranges are better to choose red. But from any other cupcake it turns out no worse. Maybe a little bit inferior in brightness and that's all. Take white, wheat, premium or grade 1 flour. Wash the oranges well and dry them with napkins.
Step 2:
Put one whole orange in a saucepan, fill with water, bring the water to a boil and cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Then drain the water, cut the orange into slices along with the peel, remove the bones and grind in a blender in a puree.
Step 3:
Cut the second orange into not very thick circles. If your baking dish is rectangular, like mine, then cut some of the circles in half. In general, make sure that the slices of oranges lie as close to each other as possible.
Step 4:
Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar into a fluffy light mass, trying not to break the eggs, otherwise the cupcake will not be lush. The mass should lighten and increase in volume by 2-3 times. And many small bubbles will appear on the surface.
Step 5:
Sift the flour through a fine sieve with baking powder and add to the dough. Beat with a mixer until smooth. Flour you can take more / less than me. Be guided by the fact that the dough should be fluid, but not too liquid.
Step 6:
Add the orange puree to the dough and mix well.
Step 7:
Put the orange circles in a silicone cake pan. If you have a metal mold, lubricate it with oil before laying fruit.
Step 8:
Pour the batter over the oranges. Bake the cake for about 40 minutes in a preheated 180 ° C oven. Be guided by your technique by the time and temperature of baking.
Step 9:
Cool the finished cupcake slightly and turn it over on a dish so that the oranges are on top. It comes out of the silicone mold without any problems. This is how you will get it in the end.
In addition to red oranges, you can also use ordinary orange ones. Only it is better to choose small fruits and as sweet as possible, with a not very thick peel, otherwise orange puree, and, as a result, the whole cupcake can be very bitter, which will spoil the impression of baking. Sicilian oranges (red) are twice as sweet as usual and their peel is thin, so they are just perfect for this baking.
You can serve such a fragrant cupcake with any hot drinks: tea, coffee, chicory, cocoa. And even tastier - with warm or hot milk.
