Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make cottage cheese pies in the oven with apples? Prepare the products. First for the test. Choose natural butter and cottage cheese, without additives in the form of vegetable fats. The fat content of cottage cheese is suitable for any, I have 5%. I do not advise using grained cottage cheese, the dough will not work with it. Remove the oil from the refrigerator in advance, it should become soft.
Step 2:
How to make dough for cottage cheese pies? Take a bowl, put soft butter in it, add sugar. Using a fork, rub the products until they are completely mixed. You don't even need a mixer here, everything will mix perfectly without it.
Step 3:
Add egg and cottage cheese to the butter mixture and rub everything well with a fork again.
Step 4:
You will get such a homogeneous, sparse mass.
Step 5:
In a separate bowl, mix the flour with baking powder and salt.
Step 6:
Sift the resulting mixture into a bowl with a curd dough base. Do not ignore the sifting, this will not only remove possible debris, but also saturate the flour with oxygen, which will make the baking softer and more airy. You may take more or less flour than I do.
Step 7:
Knead the dough. First mix it with a spoon, and then with your hands. Due to the oil content, the dough will quickly stop sticking to your hands, become homogeneous and gather into a ball. As soon as this happens, set aside the dough, cover the bowl with it with a film, and start filling.
Step 8:
Prepare the products for the filling. I advise you to take large apples or, if they are small, increase their number. Any starch will do, I took corn. Put cinnamon as desired, if you don't like it, you can exclude it.
Step 9:
How to make an apple filling? Wash the apples, cut into quarters, remove the core and cut off the skin. Then cut them into small cubes.
Step 10:
Take a frying pan, put apples in it, pour sugar, starch and cinnamon.
Step 11:
Send the pan to the stove on a small fire. Melt the apples, stirring them with a spatula, for about 5 minutes. I got a dry variety, the apples almost did not release juice, but it did not affect the taste of the filling in any way. You can add a little butter to the filling, put it at the very beginning along with the apples.
Step 12:
It remains to stick pies. You can do this in two ways. Roll out the dough into a thin layer and cut it into circles with a suitable shape. In this case, the pies will turn out to be the same with a thin dough, but there will be a lot of scraps that will have to be rolled out again. I chose another option — I divided the dough into identical pieces and rolled them out already. Flour, by the way, is no longer required — the dough practically does not stick. I got 16 pieces.
Step 13:
Put a little filling on a round blank and pinch the pie in any way. I made a classic shape, you can shape the pies in your own way.
Step 14:
It is better to additionally tighten the seam so that it does not disperse during baking.
Step 15:
Place the pies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Step 16:
In a small bowl, beat the egg with a fork. Lubricate the pies with a cooking brush, this will give them a ruddy crust.
Step 17:
Bake the pies in the oven at 180 ° C for 20-25 minutes, they should be golden. Determine the exact time and temperature of baking according to your oven.
Step 18:
Remove the finished pies from the baking sheet. Serve them in any form — they are delicious and warm and cold. With milk, tea or just like that. Bon appetit!
Be sure to wash the eggs before use, as even the seemingly clean shell may contain harmful bacteria. It is best to use food detergents and a brush.
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use the useful information about the features of ovens !
