Step 1:
How to bake bream in the oven in foil? Choose medium-sized fish (less than a kilogram). Such bream will taste better than too big. In addition, for a large one, you will still need to find a suitable baking dish. It is advisable to buy chilled bream, since it is difficult to judge freshness and quality from frozen fish. Bream should have transparent eyes and a neutral smell.
Step 2:
If the bream is frozen, defrost it in advance. Remove the packaging and put it in a container on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator 6 hours before cooking. After improper defrosting, the fish may become dry and the taste will be spoiled. Remove the scales. Make a longitudinal incision on the abdomen and remove the insides from the fish. Cut off the fins and remove the gills. Then rinse the bream well in running water. Dry with paper towels to remove unnecessary moisture.
Step 3:
Turn on the oven to preheat to 200 degrees. Rinse the lemon well under running water. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into a small deep container. Peel, rinse and chop the garlic with a knife. Add garlic, oil, salt and spices to the lemon juice. I recommend not to overdo it with spices, so as not to interrupt the taste of fish. Mix everything well.
Step 4:
Rub the resulting bream marinade on the outside and inside. Put the garlic inside the bream belly.
Step 5:
Cut the remaining half of the lemon into thin rings.
Step 6:
Put a few pieces on top, the rest in the belly of the fish.
Step 7:
Wrap the bream in foil, leaving a small hole on top for steam to escape. If required, wrap with a second layer of foil. Put the fish on a baking sheet and send it to the preheated oven. Bake at 200 degrees for 20-30 minutes, depending on your oven. 5 minutes before cooking, unwrap the foil from above and send it back to the oven so that the bream is browned.
