Step 1:
How to bake chicken with lemon? First, prepare the necessary ingredients. We'll do the stuffing. Wash the lemon, dry it. Peel the onion from the husk, wash and dry with napkins.
Step 2:
Cut half a lemon and an onion into small pieces. To prevent the eyes from watering from cutting onions, moisten the knife with cold water. This will be our filling.
Step 3:
Prepare the ingredients for cooking the fragrant oil. Grate the lemon zest on a coarse or medium grater. Wash and dry the greens. Peel the garlic from the husk. The butter should be softened.
Step 4:
Squeeze the juice out of the lemon. Pass the garlic through the press. Finely chop the washed greens. Combine soft butter with lemon juice and zest, chopped herbs and dry spices. Put all the ingredients in a bowl.
Step 5:
Mix the mass until smooth.
Step 6:
Peel the chicken, wash, dry, rub with salt and pepper inside and out. Transfer it to the prepared baking dish with the back down.
Step 7:
Carefully separate the skin of the chicken breast from the meat and stuff most of the fragrant oil. Carefully distribute the oil inside, being careful not to tear the skin. Brush the breast with the remaining oil on top.
Step 8:
Now stuff the inside of the chicken with slices of lemon and chopped onion.
Step 9:
Tie the chicken legs with twine. Place the mold in a preheated 180 ° C oven for about 1 hour. Bake until golden brown. It may take a little longer, depending on the oven. I baked on the top + bottom + convection mode. Periodically pour the chicken juice from the bottom of the mold.
Serve with any side dish. A few years ago I already cooked chicken with this oil, but I didn't stuff it with anything. This time I decided to stuff it with a mixture of onion and lemon. It turned out much better.
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
So that the mucous membrane of the eyes is not irritated when slicing onions, rinse the onion and knife with cold water. The cutting board will not absorb the unpleasant onion smell if you rub it with a piece of lemon before slicing.
Chicken can be replaced with turkey or any other type of meat at your request. But keep in mind that in this case, the cooking time and calorie content of the dish will change.
