Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make cutlets in the oven like in kindergarten? Prepare the ingredients. Minced meat, usually take only beef. White bread is somewhere 1-2 slices, milk - to soak bread in it. To add onion (1 onion), garlic (1-2 cloves) to the minced meat, they will need to be scrolled together with the minced meat in a meat grinder, I have minced meat already twisted with onion and garlic. Salt and spices to taste. Instead of breadcrumbs, you can take flour, corn grits, semolina.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Break white bread into pieces and soak in milk. Pour enough milk so that it completely covers the bread. Then squeeze the bread and add it to the minced meat.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Mince the minced meat together with the soaked white bread again in the meat grinder. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 - 200 degrees.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Form cutlets from the prepared minced meat with wet hands, roll them on all sides in breadcrumbs. Grease a baking sheet or a form with medium sides with vegetable oil or cover with baking paper. Put the prepared cutlets into the mold. Put the form with the cutlets in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Cutlets should "grab" to keep their shape and not spread out.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Peel and chop the onion and carrot: grate the carrot on a coarse grater, cut the onion arbitrarily (I cut it into half rings). Lightly fry the onion and carrot in a frying pan. Then add hot water or broth (it took about 400 ml for my cutlets), add a little salt and pepper, mix.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Pour the cutlets with the prepared filling with vegetables, add the bay leaf. Put the form with the cutlets back in the oven for 40 minutes or until a golden crust forms on the cutlets.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Serve the cutlets hot. Mashed potatoes, boiled buckwheat or pasta are suitable for garnish. When putting cutlets on a plate, be sure to add vegetables and gravy to them.

In general, this is a very good way to bake cutlets. Firstly, it reduces the time spent on your feet at the stove. Secondly, there is no smell from frying cutlets in the whole kitchen. And, thirdly, it is more useful to bake cutlets without frying in oil.
As a child, and even now, I really like cutlets "like in kindergarten", and even though my cutlets did not quite resemble real garden cutlets (after all, my minced meat was not made of 100% beef), I still managed to feel the same taste.

Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !

Any heat-resistant form is suitable for this recipe. If you use a silicone mold, then you do not need to smear it with butter or margarine. But it is better to lightly lubricate metal, ceramic or glass dishes with vegetable oil so that the baking does not burn.

For this recipe, it is better to take not frozen, but fresh meat, otherwise the finished meat risks getting dry.
