Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to bake coho steaks in foil in the oven? Prepare the necessary products. I took the pre-prepared steaks. If a whole fish is used (usually it is already gutted), it must be cleaned of scales, thoroughly washed and cut into steaks 1.5-2 cm thick. If the fish is frozen, defrost it at room temperature. But the best option is defrosting in the refrigerator. This way the fish will retain its juiciness and nutritional properties better.
Step 2:
Prepare the marinade. Combine olive oil, lemon juice, dried basil, rosemary and salt in a bowl. Mix well. Spices and seasonings choose any to your taste, suitable for fish.
Step 3:
Pour marinade over steaks. Turn the steaks several times so that they are covered with marinade on all sides. Leave the fish to marinate for 30 minutes. Thanks to the action of the marinade, the steaks will turn out more juicy, tender and fragrant.
Step 4:
Lay the steaks on a sheet of foil close to each other.
Step 5:
Close the foil, wrap it tightly on all sides.
Step 6:
Bake the coho steaks in a preheated 180C oven for about 25 minutes. The cooking time will depend on the specifics of the oven. After baking, open the foil carefully so as not to get burned by steam.
Step 7:
Serve the coho steaks with fresh vegetables or with any side dish. Bon appetit!
Keep in mind that the quality and taste of the finished dish largely depends on the proper defrosting of the ingredients. How to avoid mistakes and choose the best way, read the article about defrosting.
