Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make shish kebab from chicken fillet? Prepare the specified ingredients. Take the fillet still fresh. I took dry spices especially for chicken, but you can take any others to your liking. Mayonnaise, of course, can be replaced with sour cream or natural yogurt, but try to cook with it first, and then experiment. Wooden skewers need to be taken of such a size that they can then be put on the sides of the baking dish.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Pour water into a deep bowl or baking dish and place a wooden skewer there. Thanks to this procedure, the meat from the skewers will be easier to remove.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Rinse the chicken fillet with running cold water and dry with paper towels. Cut the chicken meat into large pieces, about 3 by 3 cm.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

In a deep bowl, mix mayonnaise, mustard, dry spices and a little salt and ground black pepper. Try it and, if necessary, add salt. Put the chopped chicken fillet in a bowl with marinade and mix. Leave the chicken to marinate on the table for half an hour or more. The more time the meat is marinated, the juicier the kebab will turn out.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Turn on the oven to warm up to 200 degrees with convection mode top / bottom - this is one of the conditions for a successful result. On wet wooden skewers, prick the pickled meat. Pour water into the baking dish (or leave the one in which the skewers were) - somewhere I saw this information and I think that this also affects a good result; put a skewer on the sides. Put the form with the kebab in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Remove the finished chicken skewer from the oven, put it on a dish and serve immediately. It is in hot form that such meat will be delicious and juicy.

It is better to prepare mayonnaise yourself. It will be tastier and healthier. See here interesting recipes for homemade mayonnaise.
Also, as a dressing, you can use not only mayonnaise, but also sour cream or natural yogurt. They can be taken separately or mixed with mayonnaise in any proportion to your taste - this will reduce the calorie content of the dish.

If you use ready-made spice mixes, be sure to read the composition on the package. Often, salt is already present in such mixtures, take this into account, otherwise you risk over-salting the dish.

Since the degree of salinity, sweetness, bitterness, sharpness, acid, burning is individual for everyone, always add spices, spices and seasonings, focusing on your taste! If you put some of the seasonings for the first time, then keep in mind that there are spices that it is especially important not to shift (for example, chili pepper).
