Cooking method

Cooking time: 45 min

1. Wash the potatoes well, you do not need to peel them.

2. Chop the potatoes into circles about three to four millimeters thick, with a knife or a special shredder.

3. Pour cold water over the potato slices, mix and let stand for a couple of minutes. Thanks to this, the chips will be more crispy.

4. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.

5. Drain the water in which the slices were standing and rinse them again with running water.

6. Put the future chips on half of the lined towel. Cover the chips with the second half of the towel on top and press a little, thereby helping excess moisture from the potatoes to soak into the fabric.

7. Cover the baking sheet with parchment, sprinkle with vegetable oil and smear it with a uniform layer.

8. Crush the garlic directly on the baking sheet with a knife and liberally smear the parchment with garlic juice.

9. Heat the baking sheet in a preheated oven for a couple of minutes.

10. On a preheated baking sheet, quickly put the potato slices in one layer tightly to each other. Add salt and pepper.

11. Bake in the oven until the appearance of brown spots on the chips. The whole process will take no more than half an hour. At the same time, it is necessary to turn the baking sheet over after about half the time so that the chips closest to the oven door are at the back of its wall.

12. Then take out a baking tray with chips, quickly turn the chips over on the baking sheet and bake for a few more minutes until fully cooked.
Check every 3-5 minutes that the chips are ready to look, do not let them darken too much.

13. Put the finished chips on napkins to absorb excess oil.

Serve with your favorite sauce or with beer!
