The smell of freshly baked pastries is always associated with warmth and home comfort. Therefore, friends who have come to visit you will be pleased with your hospitality. Buns with poppy seeds are perfect for such an occasion. They are prepared quite simply and quickly.

    In a bowl, pour a tablespoon of sugar and a tablespoon of flour, dry yeast.

    Heat kefir in a microwave oven to 30-35 degrees, add it to a bowl with dry ingredients, mix the mixture. Put the mixture in a warm place for 15 minutes. In the meantime, sift the flour, it's better to do it a couple of times so that the flour is well saturated with oxygen. Thanks to this, the buns will turn out especially lush and delicious.

    After the specified time, we drive chicken eggs into the prepared mixture, mix so that the eggs disperse. Pour in the melted butter and mix well.

    Pour in the sifted flour, add it in batches, stirring the mass well each time.

    When the dough becomes difficult to stir with a spoon. Spread it on a floured surface and continuing to add flour, knead a smooth, elastic dough. It should stick slightly, but not stick to your hands. We put it back in the bowl and put it in a warm place for a couple of hours. During this time, when the dough rises, we crush it and let it rise again.

    While the dough is coming, let's prepare the poppy seed filling for buns. We wash the poppy with water and pour boiling water, cover the cup with a lid and leave the poppy to steam for 20 minutes. Then drain the water through a sieve. We grind the poppy in a mortar or knead it with a rolling pin. Let the butter soften at room temperature, but do not melt it.

    Divide the finished dough into several parts. Roll them out into a rectangle. Lubricate the dough with softened butter. Put the poppy filling on top and sprinkle with sugar.

    We fold the rectangle from the dough into an envelope. We cut it across into strips about 3 centimeters wide. We twist each flagellum 3-4 times, fastening the ends so that the poppy filling is visible.

    We spread the buns on a baking sheet greased with oil, let them rise a little in the heat. Grease the top of the buns with beaten chicken egg. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the buns for about 25 minutes. We take out the buns, let them cool down a little and serve them for tea!
