Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Ingredients.
Step 2:
In warm milk, dissolve yeast, a tablespoon of sugar, add 2 tablespoons of flour.
Step 3:
It's not dough yet, but sourdough, but it needs to rise before it becomes possible to continue our cooking. Therefore, we leave the sourdough while the yeast rises. We hold it for 15-30 minutes, making sure that it rises at least twice.
Step 4:
Yeast has done its job, and we heat the butter.
Step 5:
Soak the raisins and candied fruits. Candied fruits need to be soaked for 10 minutes to remove excess sugar and dye.
Step 6:
Add salt and melted butter to part of the flour, mix.
Step 7:
Then pour in the sourdough and knead the dough. Gradually add more flour. The main thing here is not to overdo it, so as not to get heavy dough from excess flour. The dough should be elastic and slightly stick to the hands.
Step 8:
Put the finished dough in a bowl, cover with cellophane and put in a warm place. We measure out as much time as the dough needs to rise thoroughly. Depending on the conditions, it may take more than an hour.
Step 9:
Lubricate the surface of the table with vegetable oil. Knead the risen dough. Then we roll out into a layer. Grease the dough with melted butter, sprinkle with sugar, then spread the raisins and chopped candied fruits, nuts can be.
Step 10:
Roll up the dough layer into a roll.
Step 11:
We make incisions on the roll. Grease the baking sheet with oil.
Step 12:
We lay out a roll, the ends of which we connect and pinch well to make a ring. Cover and leave in a warm place for 20 minutes. The remaining time, which is about 1 hour, our pie will stay in the oven and bake at 180 degrees until it is covered with an appetizing blush.
Step 13:
While the finished cake is cooling, prepare the glaze by mixing the juice with powdered sugar.
Step 14:
Pour icing on the cake and use the remains of candied fruits as the final touch in the decoration of the dish.
Step 15:
That's how beautiful the Easter cake looks in the cut.
Step 16:
Bon appetit to you and your guests!
