Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making oatmeal cookies with honey. Take instant flakes and preferably small ones. Then the cookies will turn out more tender, and the flakes in it will look like nuts. Take the oil out of the refrigerator in advance so that it becomes soft.
Step 2:
Pour the oat flakes into a bowl and add baking powder. If you will use baking soda, then you need to take 1/3 teaspoon of it and add the same amount of citric acid, which you need to turn into powder. Lemon juice is needed so that the soda in the dough is extinguished, since there is no acid in it and there will be no loosening reaction.
Step 3:
Add sugar to the flakes and mix everything. Sugar can be taken not only white, but brown or cane sugar is perfect.
Step 4:
Sift wheat flour of the highest or first grade through a fine sieve into a bowl with flakes and sugar. This will saturate the flour with air and get rid of sores and flour lumps.
Step 5:
Mix everything well until the products are evenly distributed.
Step 6:
Wash and wipe the chicken egg. Break it into a bowl with flour mixture.
Step 7:
Add the soft butter to the bowl. Of course, it can be replaced with margarine, but the cookies will not be as tender as with butter.
Step 8:
Add bee honey to the bowl. You can take any honey, but the taste and color of the cookies will depend on its type. With buckwheat or heather honey, the cookies will turn out darker.
Step 9:
Mix everything to a soft, sticky dough.
Step 10:
Cover the baking sheet with baking paper or a special silicone mat. Using a tablespoon, spread out the cookies at a distance and trim the edges. If the dough sticks to the spoon, you can try to moisten it with water, so it will be easier to spread the dough on a baking sheet. If you want a cookie with a crispy top, but soft inside, leave it as it is. And if you prefer completely crispy cookies, press the blanks to the baking sheet, making them flatter.
Step 11:
Put in a hot oven and bake at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes. The cooking time depends on your oven and which cookies you prefer.
Step 12:
Cool the cookies completely and serve. Very tasty with cold milk.
Step 13:
Bon appetit.
Please note that honey and bee products can cause an allergic reaction. So when offering cookies to other people, tell them about the presence of honey in its composition.
