Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
To prepare a chess cake, you need: flour 480 g, sugar 550 g, vegetable oil 300 ml, milk 420 ml, cocoa powder 60 g, baking powder 4.5 tsp, vanilla extract 2 tsp, salt 1 tsp.
Step 2:
You need to bake 4 pies - 2 vanilla and 2 chocolate. To do this, smear vegetable oil inside the baking pans and sprinkle with flour. Shake off the excess flour and set aside the molds for now.
Step 3:
Prepare the flour.
Step 4:
Add baking powder or baking powder to flour.
Step 5:
Add salt.
Step 6:
Mix and sift through a sieve.
Step 7:
Pour into a bowl for kneading dough.
Step 8:
Add sugar.
Step 9:
Pour in vegetable oil.
Step 10:
Add eggs.
Step 11:
Pour in the milk.
Step 12:
Beat by hand or with a mixer.
Step 13:
The dough must be liquid and homogeneous.
Step 14:
Divide equally into 2 dishes.
Step 15:
Add vanilla extract to one bowl with the dough. Mix it up. The dough for 2 vanilla pies is ready.
Step 16:
Cocoa powder is needed for chocolate pies.
Step 17:
Sift it through a sieve.
Step 18:
Add to the second bowl with the dough.
Step 19:
Mix.
Step 20:
Pour the dough into the molds.
Step 21:
And bake until done.
Step 22:
Preferably separately, so as not to mix the flavors. But you can do it all together!
Step 23:
Set aside the finished cakes on the cake to cool.
Step 24:
In the meantime, you can prepare a template for cutting out cake details from pies. To do this, draw a circle on a piece of paper with a pencil around the baking dish.
Step 25:
Mark the middle of the circle with a ruler and divide the radius with the same marks into 3 equal parts. Draw smaller circles of marked radii from the middle of a large circle with a compass.
Step 26:
Fold the sheet in half in the middle of the circles.
Step 27:
And cut the shape as in the photo.
Step 28:
Prepare the cooled pies for cutting into parts - cut off the unnecessary tops.
Step 29:
Do the following with all the pies.
Step 30:
Place the template in the middle.
Step 31:
Secure, for example, with toothpicks.
Step 32:
Cut the pie in a circle from the inside
Step 33:
And outside of the template.
Step 34:
Here are the details
Step 35:
For assembling a chess cake.
Step 36:
And another important detail is to prepare the chocolate butter (glaze) by mixing thoroughly.
Step 37:
Now you can start assembling, for example, with a chocolate large circle.
Step 38:
Oil the inside.
Step 39:
Insert a medium vanilla circle into a large chocolate circle.
Step 40:
Smear the vanilla circle with butter from the inside.
Step 41:
And insert a chocolate disk into it.
Step 42:
Same for all other parts.
Step 43:
That's it. The stage of horizontal assembly of parts is completed.
Step 44:
For vertical assembly - with the same chocolate butter
Step 45:
Evenly smear the striped disc.
Step 46:
Install the second disk from above.
Step 47:
And repeat the same with the rest of the discs - smear with oil and place them on top of each other.
Step 48:
Now coat the resulting cake on all sides with the same oil!
Step 49:
And place the resulting cylinder in the refrigerator to cool for 2 hours.
Step 50:
Decorate the cake with something before serving! Whether it's chocolate chips, powdered sugar or candied fruits, for example. Have a nice tea party for the whole company!
