Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make kurabye shortbread cookies with jam? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. The butter should be soft, so take it out of the refrigerator in advance and leave it to lie at room temperature so that it warms up. I do not advise replacing butter with margarine, since it is on butter that the cookies turn out crumbly.
Step 2:
To make the butter soft faster, cut it into pieces. To prepare the dough, take a comfortable, spacious bowl. Combine the soft butter and powdered sugar in a bowl. Mix so that the powder begins to dissolve. It is advisable to use a mixer to beat the butter.
Step 3:
Then add the egg whites to the bowl. Mix all the ingredients.
Step 4:
Sift the flour through a sieve. This will saturate it with oxygen and the dough will be more tender. Finished products will be more crumbly. Pour the flour into the bowl gradually and knead the dough. The mixer is not needed here. You can do with a wooden spatula.
Step 5:
Flour may take a little more or less. Be guided by the consistency of the finished dough. It is not necessary to knead it for a long time. As soon as the dough is going into a lump, do not add more flour. If you continue kneading, then the dough will ask for flour more and more, as a result it will become dense, and the finished products will be tougher.
Step 6:
The dough turns out very soft. Place it in a silicone bag with a large nozzle.
Step 7:
Cover the baking tray with parchment and squeeze out over the entire surface of the cookie. Make small indentations in the center.
Step 8:
Put some thick jam in each cookie. Jam can be of any taste, the main thing here is its density. Place the baking sheet in the oven, preheated to 190 degrees, for 20-30 minutes. When baking, be guided by your oven.
Step 9:
The finished cookies will become a beautiful golden color. Remove it from the oven and immediately remove it from the baking sheet so that it does not burn. Cool the cookies and help yourself. Bon appetit!
Be sure to wash the eggs before use, as even the seemingly clean shell may contain harmful bacteria. It is best to use food detergents and a brush.
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
Be prepared for the fact that you may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. To avoid mistakes, read about flour and its properties!
