Cooking method
To prepare the dough, we will need softened butter. It is desirable to get it out of the refrigerator in advance. Or heat it up a little in the microwave on the mode
defrosting
.
It is desirable to sift flour to remove lumps, various impurities, as well as saturate it with oxygen. If you have nothing to sift the flour with, then you can beat it slightly with a whisk. Thus, the flour, of course, will not be cleaned of impurities, but it will be saturated with oxygen and you can break the lumps.
Combine flour and butter. Add baking powder. If it is not, then you can add soda, slaked with vinegar.
And we grind everything thoroughly.
Add sugar and egg. Mix everything together. You should get a soft elastic dough. Do not knead it for a long time.
We separate about 1 \ 6 part from the dough. We put it in the freezer. And the remaining most of it is sent to the refrigerator for half an hour.
While the dough is & laquo; cooling & raquo; in the refrigerator, let's do the filling.
For the filling we take fresh or frozen berries. We wash them. Let the water drain.
Next, there are several options for preparing the filling.
The first option. This is to use whole berries sprinkled with sugar.
The second option. Grind the berries with sugar using a blender.
The third option. Cook the crushed berries with sugar a little. And already use cranberry jam as a filling.
I like the second option. Therefore, I fill the berries with sugar and grind everything with a blender.
After half an hour, we take the dough out of the refrigerator. We roll it out.
We put it in a form greased with oil and lightly sprinkled with flour.
We form the sides.
Spread the filling, evenly distributing it.
We take a small piece of dough out of the freezer and grate it on a grater. Sprinkle the grated dough over the berry filling.
The sides can be bent slightly inward.
We send the pie to the preheated oven and bake the pie at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
After the cake is ready, let it cool down a little and you can serve it to the table.
You can decorate the top with powdered sugar and whole cranberries.
Cook with pleasure!
