Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Add sugar to the heated drinking water and stir until completely dissolved.
Step 2:
Add salt and vegetable oil. Stir lightly.
Step 3:
Pour in gradually the sifted flour with baking powder. Add vanilla on the tip of the knife, this will make the cake more fragrant.
Step 4:
Knead an elastic dough that will not stick to your hands. Divide the dough into two not equal parts, as in the photo.
Step 5:
We distribute most of the dough with our hands according to the form, having previously laid baking parchment on it. I have a 30cm uniform. We spread any jam that you like on the dough, I have black currant. You can also put fresh or frozen fruits, while the main thing to remember is that fruits give juice, do not put a lot so that the pie does not go limp.
Step 6:
Roll out the smaller part of the dough. We cut into strips and make a beautiful mesh out of them. Bake the pie at 180 ° C until golden brown.
Step 7:
Take the finished cake out of the oven and let it cool completely. Bon appetit!
Lean pie with black currant jam, very easy to prepare. You can cook with jam or jam: cherry, apricot, gooseberry, plum, apple, orange, in general, any that you have at home. You can also replace it with fresh or frozen fruits, but it is important to remember that fruits give juice, so do not put a lot so that the pie does not go limp.
The pie is suitable for those who suffer from lactose intolerance, since there are no dairy products in it.
Prepares quickly. The top is not smeared with anything. Active cooking takes only 20 minutes, it is baked for about 30 minutes at 180 °, but you need to focus on your oven. I baked in an electric oven at 170 ° without convection, first in the top-bottom mode, and then set the mode only to the bottom, this is a feature of my oven.
Despite the simple recipe, the pie looks very attractive on the table, with a golden crust, bright saturated color, which gives jam. The taste of the dough resembles shortbread, it turns out soft inside and crispy outside.
