Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
To cook very tasty cabbage rolls baked in the oven in tomato sauce, we will prepare all the necessary products according to the list: a small cabbage head up to 1 kg, minced meat, preferably pork or assorted, rice, onions, tomato sauce, vegetable oil, salt and spices.
Step 2:
My cabbage head, remove the top damaged leaves and cut out the stalk.
Step 3:
Put a whole head of cabbage in a saucepan and fill it with water. We put a pot of cabbage on the stove and bring it to a boil.
Step 4:
At the same time with cabbage, cook rice – pour it into a saucepan, rinse. Pour half a cup of rice with a glass of water and put it to boil until the water boils over medium heat.
Step 5:
Cut the onion into small cubes.
Step 6:
Pour the onion into a frying pan with 1 tbsp vegetable oil, add spices and fry over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Step 7:
Remove the boiled rice from the heat and let it cool down a little.
Step 8:
Also remove the fried onion with spices from the fire and leave for 10 minutes to cool down a little.
Step 9:
Combine rice and onion together in a bowl.
Step 10:
Add minced meat and 1 tsp salt to the rice and onion in a bowl.
Step 11:
Mince for cabbage rolls is well kneaded.
Step 12:
We cook cabbage over low heat, during cooking with a fork, we remove the leaves one by one, which have boiled down to a light transparency and become plastic.
Step 13:
We cut the thickened veins from the boiled cabbage leaves.
Step 14:
Put a tablespoon of minced meat on each prepared cabbage leaf.
Step 15:
Minced meat is wrapped in cabbage leaves and tucked inside the tips, forming cabbage rolls.
Step 16:
Cover the baking dish with the remaining cabbage leaves.
Step 17:
We put the formed cabbage rolls in the prepared form.
Step 18:
Sprinkle cabbage rolls with 1 tsp salt, pour tomato sauce in the form and pour 2 cups of water.
Step 19:
Cover the form with cabbage rolls with foil.
Step 20:
Put the form with cabbage rolls in a hot oven and bake at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
Step 21:
After 40 minutes, remove the mold from the oven, remove the foil.
Step 22:
We lubricate cabbage rolls with vegetable oil.
Step 23:
Return the cabbage rolls to the oven and bake for another 20 minutes.
Step 24:
Bake cabbage rolls until lightly browned.
Step 25:
Take the form with cabbage rolls in tomato sauce out of the oven and serve hot on the table.
