Cooking method
Softened butter is mixed with powdered sugar until creamy. Add vanilla, salt, sifted flour to the oil mixture and knead the soft dough. We divide the dough into several parts, and from them we form sausages with a diameter of about 2-3 cm, wrap them in plastic wrap and send them to the refrigerator until completely solidified (the dough becomes very hard).
We take the sausages out of the refrigerator and lubricate them with egg. We pour sugar on the table (in my case, also poppy seeds, sesame seeds and coconut chips) and roll sausages on it. Each sausage is cut into washers 2 cm wide with a very sharp knife. Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper, spread the cookies and bake at 180gr. 20-25 minutes. As soon as the cookies are browned, we immediately take them out.
