Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to bake potatoes with soy sauce in the oven? Prepare the products. Wash the potatoes well and peel them.
Step 2:
Cut the tubers into thick slices, just like for potatoes in a rustic way.
Step 3:
Boil water in a saucepan. Put the sliced potatoes in boiling water. After re-boiling the water, reduce the heat to low. Cook the potatoes until half cooked, about ten to twelve minutes.
Step 4:
In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce and sunflower oil. It is better to take refined, odorless. Add a garlic clove grated on a fine grater and dried herbs. I have parsley, dill, onion, mint and thyme. You take according to your taste or availability. Add a little salt, just a little, as the soy sauce is already very salty.
Step 5:
Drain the potatoes. And add the soy sauce marinade directly into the pan. Mix thoroughly, but very carefully, as the potatoes will become quite soft and you can easily damage the structure of the slices.
Step 6:
Line the baking dish with parchment paper and brush with sunflower oil. Put the potato slices on top in one layer and send them to the oven preheated to 200 degrees. Bake the potatoes for 15 minutes until golden brown. Serve the finished potatoes immediately on the table. Enjoy your meal!
The potatoes turned out fine. The slices are beautiful and delicious, ruddy and spicy, the crust is crunchy, everything is soft inside.
I will definitely cook more. And next time I will add twice as many spices so that the crust is even more saturated.
If you find new potatoes, then you can not peel them beforehand, but boil and bake them directly with it. So, more useful substances will remain in potatoes.
Serve such potatoes well as a side dish for meat, fish, and chicken. And just with a vegetable salad, seasoned with mayonnaise or olive oil - you'll lick your fingers!
But storing ready-made potatoes is a bad idea. That's because the crispy crust will certainly soften and the dish will lose its unique charm.
Therefore, it is better to cook a small portion. And just before serving, decorate the potatoes with fresh herbs.
Root vegetables are best washed with a brush or a hard sponge under running water.
When adding soy sauce to a dish, it is worth considering that it has a rather salty taste. Reduce the total amount of salt, otherwise you risk over-salting.
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
