Berry pie in a slow cooker

Moist berry pie in a slow cooker is easy and delicious. Lately, for some reason, all my pies are either yeast or sponge. Today I decided to make a variety and cook a moist pie with berries in a slow cooker. To tell the truth, moist pies are a rarity in our house. They are baked once a year, or even once and a half. And today came that rare case. I want to share this recipe with you. The pie turns out not lush, but delicious, sweet and tender. The four of us ate the pie in one sitting :)

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 2 hours
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

If you use frozen berries, first defrost them and dry them on a paper towel

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

    Mix sour cream and mayonnaise

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Add the eggs and knead well until smooth.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Add 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar and salt, mix.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Mix soda with flour, sift into the dough.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Gently mix the dough so that there are no lumps left. Leave the dough to stand for 10 minutes to swell the flour.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Brush the bowl of the slow cooker with butter or margarine.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Pour in half of the dough. Shake the bowl slightly so that the dough is evenly distributed

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Put the berries on top of the dough, do not press. Sprinkle lightly with granulated sugar.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Carefully spoon the remaining dough over the berries. Take your time, take a spoonful of dough and water the berries, then another spoonful of dough, and so on. If you pour all the dough into the middle, then distribute it evenly afterwards, without drowning the berries, you are unlikely to succeed. Turn the slow cooker into baking mode for 1 hour. After an hour, carefully turn the pie over, and bake for another 30 minutes.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Here's a pie turned out. Check readiness with a wooden stick.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

You can serve the pie as it is, or you can sprinkle with powder and decorate with berries.

This dough is well suited to unsweetened pies (with chicken, potatoes, mushrooms), but in this case sugar should be excluded from the composition.
