Cooking method
Protein steamed omelet is included in the menu of the diet table No. 5. The latter is prescribed for gastritis, cholelithiasis, improves the separation of bile and stimulates the liver.
Since the omelet is steamed, it has a low calorie content, which facilitates the work of the digestive system, easy digestion and assimilation.
Egg white is absorbed by the human body by 93%. Compared to other products, this is the highest indicator.
Egg white contains a minimum amount of fats and carbohydrates, there is no cholesterol in it. Therefore, for a diet whose goal is to normalize weight, this dish is perfect.
If the use of fats is strictly prohibited, then it is appropriate to take skim milk.
It is important to use fresh, clean products to prepare a dietary protein omelet for a couple.
Chicken eggs are washed under running water before cooking, preferably with soap. Thoroughly rinse, dry and carefully divide into whites and yolks.
In a clean, dry bowl, using a whisk, whisk the proteins with salt until they are completely homogeneous and form a light, airy foam. Do not forget that the dish is dietary, so we use salt in a minimum amount.
Add milk to the proteins, beat again.
Pour the omelet mixture into the mold. During the cooking process, the omelet will increase in volume, so we pour the protein mixture into the mold not to the very top.
Pour water into the steamer, put it on fire. We place the omelet form on the grill of the steamer, close the steamer with a lid. We cook the omelet for a couple of 15 minutes.
After cooking, open the lid of the steamer carefully so that the droplets of condensate do not drain into the finished dish.
We cool the finished omelet a little and serve it with fresh herbs or vegetables.
Bon appetit!
