Step-by-step cooking
Boil the water first and leave to cool.
Add sugar and salt to the water, mix.
Chop the cabbage. Grate the carrot. Mix everything together.
Put part of the cabbage mass in a jar, tamp it down.
And so continue until the jar is filled to the brim.
Now pour in the brine and close the lid.
Put the jar in a bowl so that the brine flows out as it ferments. Leave everything for three days in the apartment at normal temperature.
When three days have passed, open the jar, pierce the sauerkraut in several places with a wooden stick. And leave it for 6 hours. Bitterness will come out of it.
It is best to move the cabbage to the balcony at this time.
