Cooking method
1. Wash the apples and carrots well. Peel the latter and grate coarsely on a grater.
2. Chop the cabbage, put it in a large bowl, add salt and sugar.
3. Also put carrots to the cabbage, mix everything well, you can even shake the mixture with your hands a little.
4. Put the apples in a large container. Place the cabbage-carrot mixture between the layers of apples. Try to put everything tightly. Pour the juice from the vegetable mixture here.
5. Now you need to install a load on top of the apples. If the liquid does not completely cover the apples, prepare the brine by mixing water with salt and sugar and bringing the mixture to a boil. Before pouring the brine, let it cool to room temperature.
6. Keep the apples warm for twelve days, then put them in a cool place. The delicacy is ready, but it is better to keep apples for at least a month and a half. At first, the apples will strongly absorb the liquid, so the brine will need to be added.
