Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the ingredients according to the list. Tomatoes for this preparation must be used necessarily well ripe, but not soft and broken, so that the preparation does not deteriorate. Tomatoes are washed, thrown into a colander, let the water drain completely.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

If tomatoes have a thick skin, it is better to remove it by showering the fruit with boiling water, and then dipping it into cold water. In tomatoes, we cut out the attachment point of the peduncle and cut them into several parts.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

You can chop tomatoes using a meat grinder or blender. We put the tomatoes in a deep container and turn them into tomato puree with a blender. When using a blender, you can even not remove the skin from tomatoes, it is all collected in the chopper of the unit and is easily removed.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

We transfer the tomato mass into a pan of non-oxidizing material. We put it on fire. Boil the tomato paste for about 10 minutes on low heat from the moment of boiling, stirring constantly with a spatula so that the tomato puree does not burn to the bottom of the pan.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Peel the onion and cut into rings, if the bulbs are large, then with halves of rings or feathers.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Onions are sent to a saucepan with tomato paste. Add salt (necessarily large stone, so that the workpiece does not sour), sugar and ground black pepper. Boil the mass over low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Then pour in the table vinegar. Keep on fire for another five minutes and remove from the stove.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

In advance you need to prepare small jars for this blank. I wash the cans with soda and sterilize them in the oven or in another convenient and proven way. When sterilizing in the oven, the jars should be placed with the wet neck down on the grill in a cold oven. Turn on the oven at 150 degrees and hold 0.5 l cans for about 10 minutes. The lids are washed and boiled, the metal ones can also be sterilized in the oven.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Put tomato sauce with onions in sterile jars, cover them with lids.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Put the jars in the oven, turn them on at 150 degrees and sterilize them for about 10 minutes. We roll up the jars with lids. Let the workpiece cool down at room temperature under a blanket and put it away for storage in a cool place. Bon appetit!
