Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make meat in pita bread? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. The meat must be passed through a meat grinder and turned into minced meat. I will use pork, but it can be replaced with any other kind of meat or cold cuts. If there is no meat grinder, then the meat can be finely chopped. For the sauce, mix mayonnaise with ketchup.
Step 2:
Peel the onion from the husk, rinse in cold water and finely chop. Pour a little vegetable oil into a hot frying pan, fry the chopped onion for a minute. Then add the minced meat to the pan and fry everything together until the minced meat is ready. It will take 15-20 minutes. During frying, add a little salt to the minced meat and sprinkle with ground pepper or any spices to your taste.
Step 3:
Cut the lavash into pieces, approximately 30*30cm. Step back a little from the edge and brush with the sauce. Lay out the stuffing from the minced meat.
Step 4:
Sprinkle with grated cheese and add some chopped herbs.
Step 5:
Turn up the edges and roll up. So wrap the whole pita bread.
Step 6:
Fry each lavash on both sides. You can fry in a dry frying pan to get a crust, or you can add a little vegetable oil to make the outer layer a little juicier.
Step 7:
Fry all the pita bread and serve it hot! Bon appetit!
It is better to prepare mayonnaise yourself. It will be tastier and healthier. See here interesting
recipes for homemade mayonnaise.
Also, as a dressing, you can use not only mayonnaise, but also sour cream or natural yogurt. They can be taken separately or mixed with mayonnaise in any proportion to your taste - this will reduce the calorie content of the dish.
How to choose the right pita bread? First of all, look at the date of manufacture on the package. Do not take expired pastries. Fresh pita bread should have a pleasant smell. Take a good look so that there are no stains and signs of mold on it.
So that the mucous membrane of the eyes is not irritated when slicing onions, rinse the onion and knife with cold water. The cutting board will not absorb the unpleasant onion smell if you rub it with a piece of lemon before slicing.
