Step 1:
First of all, I wash oranges and dry them.
Step 2:
Next, take a sharp knife and remove the zest in such a way that it does not capture the white layer of the skin. Ideally, the zest on both sides will be the same orange color. Remove the zest slowly, and be sure to use a sharp knife, then everything will work out
Step 3:
Leave the zest to dry for 2-3 days.
Step 4:
When the peel has become dry and brittle, you need to chop it. A coffee grinder is good for this, in the absence of it, I use a combine harvester or a blender.
Step 5:
The finer we grind the zest, the better, especially if you plan to use it as a powder dye. That's it, the zest is ready.
