Rice for Sushi Rolls in a Multicooker

The easiest way to make rice for rolls! A multicooker lets today's cook make any dish far faster and easier than on the stove. Roll lovers should appreciate it too, because a multicooker makes it easy to get the foundation of any roll — the rice — exactly the way you need it for sushi. All that's left is to prep the right ingredients, which matters just as much.

  • Rinse the rice well. Put it in the multicooker bowl, cover it with clean water, and cook it on the "Steamed rice" program (choose the program based on your multicooker's brand and what's available). The time is 25 minutes. Make the seasoning: combine the remaining ingredients and stir until the sugar and salt dissolve, then bring the mixture to a boil on the stove. Let it cool. Pour the seasoning over the cooked rice and fold it in gently so you don't mash it into mush. That's it — the base for your rolls is ready. Enjoy!
