Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make a non-alcoholic mojito? Prepare the ingredients. Wash and dry the lime and lemon thoroughly. Fresh mint should also be washed with cold running water and dried with paper towels.
Step 2:
Cut the lime and lemon into thin semicircles or quarters. The shape of the slicing does not play a fundamental role here and will not affect the taste of the drink.
Step 3:
Transfer the sliced citrus fruits to the container. Add the usual sugar. It is better to replace it with cane sugar, then the taste of the drink will acquire a pleasant caramel note. Or use a sweetener.
Step 4:
Add mint leaves, which you tear into pieces with your hands beforehand or finely chop with a knife (you can grind in a mortar until the juice is released).
Step 5:
With a fork or spoon, mash the lemon, lime and mint thoroughly. You can also grind the ingredients in a mortar. It is very important that the juice stands out from these components, so the cocktail will be even more saturated and fragrant.
Step 6:
Spread the resulting mixture into pre-washed and dried glasses. Fill the contents with a sprite. Instead of sprite, you can use regular carbonated water without additives.
Step 7:
Put some of the ice into the bowl of a blender. Whisk it to a state of coarse crumbs. You can also grind ice in another way. Wrap the ice cubes in a towel. Beat it a little with a rolling pin.
Step 8:
Add ice chips (about 0.75 glass volume) and whole ice cubes to the drink. How to properly prepare ice? To make it transparent, use cold boiled or non-carbonated purified water. Do not take tap water, it will give the drink an unpleasant taste. Boil the water for about 2 minutes. Cool it down. Repeat boiling. Cool to room temperature. Pour into ice molds. Place in the freezer until completely solidified.
Step 9:
Decorate the drink with whole lime circles and mint leaves. Drink immediately after cooking until the ice has melted. Serve a drink with a cocktail straw.
Non-alcoholic Mojito is a cool and fragrant cocktail that can be treated not only to adults, but also to children. In the sultry summer, the drink will be your real salvation! The recipe can be supplemented and changed. For example, add two small circles of fresh ginger root to each glass. Lime can be replaced with grapefruit. The taste of the drink will be different. Try what you like best.
