Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make a salad with potatoes sausage and cucumber? Prepare all the necessary products. It is better to take a good quality sausage, you can use sausages or even sausages. Use a juicy apple, sweet and sour varieties. For contrast and brightness of the finished salad, I took red onions instead of onions.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Wash the potatoes and eggs thoroughly and boil in lightly salted water until the potatoes are ready. Drain the water, cool the potatoes and eggs completely.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Peel potatoes, eggs, onions, remove the shell from the sausage.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Cut the potatoes into circles about 0.5 centimeters thick, pickled cucumbers and egg into thin rings. The salad can be chopped into medium-sized cubes if desired. I prefer to cut into circles. When mixing the finished salad, potato and egg rings break into pieces of different sizes, which makes the salad look, as it seems to me, more appetizing.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Cut onion and sausage into small squares.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Drain the juice from the corn and send it to the salad. It is better to chop the apple into a salad at the very last turn and immediately season with mayonnaise. So the apple will not darken and will not spoil the appearance of the finished salad. It is better to peel the apple beforehand.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Add mayonnaise to all the ingredients. It is better if you use self-made mayonnaise. For a richer taste, add a teaspoon of mustard to the mayonnaise and send the mustard-mayonnaise sauce to the salad. Stir and taste for salt, if required, then add salt to taste.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Let it brew for a few minutes, mix again and serve to the table! Sprinkle with fresh herbs and ground black pepper if desired.

This salad can replace a full dinner. It is very satisfying and bright. Due to the apple and corn, the salad acquires lightness and freshness.
Potato salad will perfectly complement grilled meat, steaks or kebabs.

Try it and you will definitely like it!

Bon appetit!

It's better to prepare mayonnaise yourself. It will be tastier and healthier. See the interesting ones here homemade mayonnaise recipes.
Also, as a dressing, you can use not only mayonnaise, but also sour cream or natural yogurt. They can be taken separately or mixed with mayonnaise in any proportion to your taste - this will reduce the calorie content of the dish.
