Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Gather the ingredients. To make sweet baked rice pudding in the oven, you'll need: 350 ml milk; 200 g rice; 50 g sugar; 2 eggs; 1 tbsp breadcrumbs; 1 tsp butter; 1 tsp vanilla sugar; and a pinch of salt.
-
Step 2:
Rinse the rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.
-
Step 3:
Boil the rice in plenty of salted water until half-cooked, about 10 minutes.
-
Step 4:
Then drain the rice in a colander and let the water run off.
-
Step 5:
Return the rice to the pot and set it over the heat. Pour the milk into the pot, bring to a boil, and, stirring, cook a thick porridge over low heat.
-
Step 6:
How soft you cook the rice is up to you. Cool the finished porridge to room temperature.
-
Step 7:
Beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy.
-
Step 8:
Pour the beaten egg-sugar mixture into the rice porridge. Stir it in.
-
Step 9:
Grease the baking dish with butter and sprinkle it with breadcrumbs. Spread the rice-and-milk mixture into it and smooth the top. Bake in an oven preheated to 350°F (180°C) for about 30 minutes.
-
Step 10:
Let the finished pudding cool a little and turn it out of the dish. Enjoy!
