Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
We prepare the products that we need.
Step 2:
Hearts are thoroughly washed and dried, spreading them out on a paper towel. You can use whole hearts, or you can cut them in half. I didn't cut them, as I prefer them whole, unless we are talking about some salad with their participation.
Step 3:
Pour vegetable oil into the pan and put a piece of butter, wait for a couple of minutes, making medium heat. We spread our hearts. If you add only vegetable oil, it will not be so delicious, and if only butter, it will burn. My friends often asked me how to fry chicken hearts with mushrooms in sour cream. So, my first advice concerned exactly the moment with oil - that they need to be mixed. Stir the hearts and fry for 10 minutes.
Step 4:
Onions are cleaned and cut into thick rings or half rings - as you like, the main thing is to cut larger and not too small.
Step 5:
I had the mushrooms ready fried and already cut into thin slices. You can take raw mushrooms, as we will fry them together with hearts.
Step 6:
Add onion and mushrooms to the fried hearts, salt and pepper to taste. Fry our mass for 10 minutes on moderate heat while stirring. When the whole mass is thoroughly fried, add sour cream. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
Step 7:
Can be served with any side dish.
Just yesterday I was going to work and went into the store. I look, there are chicken hearts - I haven't seen them for a long time. So I decided to buy them to cook for dinner for my beloved household. If you don't know what to cook for dinner today, you can easily use my recipe. I like hearts fried in sour cream most of all with potatoes. This dish does not require a lot of effort and time, but it is delicious, satisfying and very healthy. Instead of chicken hearts, you can take any, duck or turkey - depending on what you want at the moment!
