Step 1:
Prepare everything you need. Peel and grate carrots on a coarse grater, peel and chop onions finely, peel apples and seeds and grate on a coarse grater.

Any sea fish with white meat, for example, haddock, hake, cod or pollock, is suitable for this recipe. The main thing is that there is a fish in which there are no small bones. The fish should be thawed at room temperature. Then rinse, clean, remove the fins and tail.
Step 3:
Dry and cut the carcasses into portions. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Roll the fish from all sides in flour

And put in a preheated frying pan with vegetable oil. Fry until golden brown.

Transfer to a separate bowl.

In a saucepan with high sides and a thick bottom, heat vegetable oil, fry carrots and onions.

Then add tomato sauce, grated apples and salt (sugar, if necessary, to even out the taste). Mix well, warm up the sauce a little.
Step 9:
Lay out the fish and simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 10:
You can serve the dish hot or cold, with or without a side dish, if desired, you can sprinkle with fresh chopped herbs. The fish in tomato sauce is ready!
