Melt butter in a water bath or in a microwave oven, cool it so that it becomes warm. And milk, on the contrary, needs to be heated to 30 degrees, you can also do it in the microwave.
Sift flour into a large bowl. Add a teaspoon of salt to it and mix the dry ingredients. Now pour the melted butter and mix the mass until smooth.
Pour baking powder into a glass of warm milk and mix. The mixture should start to foam. When the bubbling subsides, pour the liquid into a bowl with dough. Mix the mass and begin to knead the dough with your hands. It should be soft and elastic. It does not need to be kept in the cold, but you need to let it lie at room temperature in a bowl covered with a towel. The dough is ready for baking tortillas. It remains to divide the dough into several pieces of the desired size, roll out the cakes, fill the patterns with a device called "chekich", grease with beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds. The walls of the tandoor must be lubricated with water, otherwise the cakes will not attach. You will also need a pillow for gluing cakes to the walls of the stove. And after 20 minutes you can enjoy delicious tortillas. Simple Uzbek tortillas are usually baked from such dough.
