Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients according to the list.
Step 2:
Dried rosehip can be purchased at a pharmacy or store, but it is better to use self-collected in ecologically clean areas and dried according to the rules (in a well-ventilated place, not in direct sunlight).
Step 3:
Dried rosehip is thoroughly washed, it is better even pour boiling water over it to remove plaque and dust that may be on the surface of the berries. Put the berries in a saucepan or other dishes for cooking compote, crush the berries a little with a push, but do not rub them into dust, the berries should remain intact.
Step 4:
Fill the berries with clean cold water, put on fire. When the water boils, reduce the heat to medium. Add sugar. The quantity can be changed depending on taste preferences. Honey can be used instead of sugar if there is no allergy to this product.
Step 5:
Boil the compote for 5-7 minutes from the moment of boiling. It is not necessary to cook rosehip berries longer, so that all the useful substances and vitamins do not collapse. Cover the pan with a lid and leave the drink to infuse for half an hour.
Step 6:
Before pouring the compote into cups, it is better to strain it through a strainer. If the compote tastes too concentrated, strong, it can be diluted with boiled cold or warm water. Enjoy your meal!
