Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients according to the list. All parts of the plant can be used to make tinctures, but it is believed that the most useful substances are contained in the root of burdock. It is necessary to dig out the roots in late autumn, from the end of September until frost, at this time the ground part of the plant begins to die off, giving everything useful to the roots.
Step 2:
The burdock root is cleaned from the ground, thoroughly washed. Grate the root on a grater, if it is too hard, it can simply be divided into thin fibers or finely chopped with a knife. We put the burdock root in a glass container and pour vodka. It is important to use a quality product purchased from a trusted manufacturer as an alcohol base.
Step 3:
We close the container with burdock with a nylon or rubber lid and put it in a dark cool place, ideally we leave it for one month. Every week, the container with the tincture needs to be shaken.
Step 4:
Then filter the liquid from the bottle through a strainer and gauze, pour the tincture into a glass bottle.
Step 5:
The tincture is ready, it is better to store it in the refrigerator. Burdock tincture turns out to taste very bitter, so some people, if there are no allergies, add a little honey to the tincture. But since burdock tincture is used as a medicine, in moderate doses, it can simply be washed down with water or another sweet drink.
For example, to strengthen immunity and improve metabolism, tincture is drunk by a teaspoon 2-3 times a day. It is also recommended to use this drink for colds, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary system, bleeding gums and other problems in the oral cavity, joint pain, arthritis, tumor diseases, rashes, pimples and teals. However, such a tincture can be used not only inside, but also rubbed into the hair roots to strengthen them and better growth. Tincture possesses all these properties due to the high content of vitamins A, C, B, E, P, essential bardan oil, which has antiseptic properties, protein and organic acids, tannins in burdock root.
