  • Lightly beat the eggs with the sugar, add the vanillin, milk, and flour, and whisk well. Set it over low heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then keep cooking until the custard reaches the thickness you want. To be safe, you can pass the custard through a sieve to catch any small lumps. Let it cool. Line a pan with parchment paper, dip the cookies in milk, and arrange a layer in the pan. Spread a thick layer of custard over them, then more cookies, more custard, and so on for several layers. Coat the sides and top of the cake and decorate however you like — nuts, raisins, grated chocolate; I used chocolate corn balls. Let the cake rest for about 15 minutes.
