Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make julienne in buns with mushrooms and chicken? First of all, prepare the products for the filling. I cooked julienne from chicken breast, but you can take fillets from other parts. Take cream with a fat content of 20%, they are best suited for sauce. Cream can be replaced with sour cream 15-20% fat content.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Pre-boil the chicken fillet. How to cook chicken fillet? Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan, dip the meat into it. Add salt. Cook the chicken for 30 minutes at a low boil over low heat. Then cool the fillets and cut into small cubes.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Wash the champignons, dry them and also cut into small cubes.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan. Lay out the champignons and fry them over medium heat, stirring until all the liquid has evaporated.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Add chicken fillet and cream to the pan. Add salt, pepper and mix. Fry everything together for 5-7 minutes.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

For julienne, take 3-4 small buns, they can be white, rye or wholegrain flour, choose according to your taste.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Any cheese for this dish is suitable — hard, semi-hard, soft, like mozzarella. The main thing is that it is delicious, high-quality, without milk fat substitutes and melts well.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Cut off the lids of the buns and remove the crumb. At the same time, try to keep the bottom and walls intact.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Fill the buns with the prepared filling.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Sprinkle grated cheese liberally on top of the buns.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Put the buns in a preheated 180 °C oven for 10-15 minutes until the cheese melts.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

Julienne with chicken and mushrooms in buns is ready. Serve it immediately to the table. Bon appetit!

A long time ago in a culinary magazine I saw an interesting recipe and a beautiful photo of goulash soup in bread. At that time, it seemed very original to me. However, I never got around to implementing the recipe in my kitchen, and now I probably won't find this magazine.
However, I had the opportunity to try another dish that needs to be served in a bread product. And this is Julienne in buns.
It's so delicious that words cannot convey! Although I treat Julienne itself as a separate dish without fanaticism. But then the combination of chicken, mushrooms and a crispy bun seemed incredibly delicious to me. I used small bran buns of 50 g each for the recipe. The filling was enough for me for 4 such buns. It is very tasty both hot and cold. I liked the hot one more.
You can also add a finely chopped onion to the filling. It needs to be fried together with mushrooms.

Instead of fresh, you can take frozen or dried mushrooms (dried ones will need 5-6 times less than fresh ones). Frozen mushrooms can be defrosted in any convenient way (for example, in the microwave in the appropriate mode - see the instructions for your technique) and drain the liquid. Or, if the amount of liquid in the recipe is not critical, use without defrosting. Dried mushrooms should be washed well, since they are not washed before drying, and then soaked in cold water for at least 2-3 hours.
