Slow-Cooker Rice with Meat and Vegetables
Rice with pork and vegetables is a hearty, easy dish. The rice comes out wonderfully fragrant, soaked through with the juices of the meat and vegetables.

Step 1:
Get all the ingredients ready.

Cut the onion into small cubes.

Shred the carrot on the large holes of a box grater.

Pour the vegetable oil into the slow-cooker pot and set it to the "Bake" (sauté) mode for 20 minutes. Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes.

Cut the meat into medium pieces, add it to the onion, and cook everything together for another 10 minutes.

Next, add the carrot.

Then the green beans. Cook everything together until the mode finishes.

Rinse the rice several times, then add it to the meat and vegetables. Pour in the hot water, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir gently, then set the cooker to "Stew" (simmer) for 50 minutes. Cook with the lid closed.

When it beeps, let it rest for a few minutes.
