Lazy Lavash "Dumplings"

The perfect dinner idea with minimal hands-on time! A lot of people know the "lazy dumpling" trick and realize these aren't quite as effortless as the name suggests. Here's a fun version that truly earns that beloved name—give it a try and you'll see the prep takes just 15–20 minutes; the rest is baking time.

    1. Rinse the pork and peel the onion. Grind the meat and onion together in a meat grinder. Season the resulting mixture with salt and black pepper, pour in the water, and mix.
    1. Spread the meat mixture over a sheet of lavash, roll it up, and slice into pieces about 1½ inches (4 cm) thick.
    1. Put the sour cream in a bowl, stir in hot (boiling) water, add salt, and mix into a sauce.
    1. Arrange the pieces in a baking dish, pour over the sauce, and bake in an oven preheated to 400°F (200°C). It needs about half an hour of baking, plus 10 minutes resting in the turned-off oven.
  • Serve the dish hot.
