Step 1:
Prepare the necessary products. You can use both a whole chicken carcass and any part of it: thighs, fillets, hams, shins, etc. If you are cooking a poultry dish, then it must be stewed in broth without adding cabbage for about 30 minutes - the meat of homemade chicken is tougher than that of a broiler.
Step 2:
Wash the parts of the chicken carcass, cut the veins and films from them, cut into portions: large or small - decide for yourself. Turn on the multicooker display mode "Frying " for 10 minutes. Pour vegetable oil into a bowl and put the chicken cut. Fry for 4-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 3:
During this time, peel the onion from the husk. Rinse in water, cut in half. Cut each half of the vegetable into half rings and add them to the multivark container to the fried chicken. Instead of onions, you can use shallots, leeks, etc.
Step 4:
Pour salt, ground black pepper, 0.5 tsp ground paprika into the bowl. Leave half the volume of ground paprika for cabbage. Be sure to try paprika before buying, if you do it on the market, so that it does not taste bitter - the spice should be slightly sweet and fragrant. Fry everything until the end of the remaining time - about 3-4 minutes, without covering the container with a lid and stirring its contents.
Step 5:
At this time, cut the white cabbage into two parts, removing the upper leaves from the fork, cut each of them into medium strips. It is not recommended to chop cabbage finely, since when it is stewed, its slicing will turn into mashed potatoes. To make the dish cook faster, you can crush the cabbage slicing in a bowl or salad bowl with a little pressure so that it releases the juice.
Step 6:
After the sound signal about the end of frying, pour 100 ml of broth or hot water into the bowl of the slow cooker, compress a couple of peeled garlic cloves. Switch to the "Stewing" mode or "Vegetables" for 25 minutes. If the technique does not provide such modes, then activate the "Soup" mode.
Step 7:
Put the cabbage slices in a bowl, sprinkle with ground paprika. This spice can be replaced with tomato paste, but for those who do not like the sour tomato flavor in the dish, it is better not to change anything. Close the appliance with a lid, cook until the beep sounds, mix 1-2 times during cooking.
Step 8:
As soon as the slow cooker beeps, carefully open the lid and release the resulting steam.
Step 9:
Put the finished dish on plates, let it cool slightly. Chop the washed green onions or other herbs, sprinkle the dish served. Especially delicious is stewed cabbage with chicken in a slow cooker with sour cream or thick, thick yogurt without additives.
