Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
We will need the products listed for this recipe.
Step 2:
Peel the onion and cut into large pieces.
Step 3:
We chop the hare into several large parts (kidney, ham, shoulder blades), cut off the films, rinse and soak with a paper towel or napkins from water.
Step 4:
Put the meat in a deep cup. For the marinade, mix vinegar with cold water. After that, the hare is filled with marinade and left for 2-3 hours in a cool place, you can put it in the refrigerator.
Step 5:
Then remove the pieces of hare from the marinade, dry with a kitchen towel and transfer to a baking sheet, salt and add the pre-chopped roots and onions, pour oil and fry in a preheated oven until a beautiful golden brown crust forms. During frying, periodically pour the pieces of the hare with juice, which is released from the meat.
Step 6:
We put the fried hare in a saucepan. Add the juice to the sour cream, which was formed during frying, and pour this mixture over the meat. Then simmer under the lid for about 25-30 minutes in the oven. As you can see, you don't have to be a hunter to know how to cook a hare stewed in sour cream. Any hostess can handle it!
You can try out this recipe at home and treat yourself and your loved ones with this delicacy. Hare meat cooked in the above way is one of the most savory and delicious dishes of Hungarian cuisine. This dish can be treated and please any guest who will be on your doorstep. Serve the hare stewed in sour cream with sauce and any side dish, but it goes best with mashed potatoes. Do not forget to sprinkle it liberally with chopped dill and also serve a salad with it. I really liked this option, and despite the fact that I was cooking hare for the first time, I succeeded. I know that a hare can also be soaked in beer before cooking, but I haven't tried it yet - everything is ahead. Bon appetit to you and your guests!
